Originally from country Western Australia, Dr Lawson moved to Queensland to attend to the University of Queensland in 2015. He has called the Peninsula home for the last 5 years and joined Majellan medical Centre in January 2023.
Following a long and varied career as a Registered Nurse working in diverse environments such as Remote First Nations Communities, homeless healthcare, Intensive Care, Emergency and as Director of Nursing at country Hospitals, Dr Lawson decided to compete his medical degree in Queensland.
Following graduation in 2018, Dr Lawson gained extensive experience in Orthopaedics, Neonatology, Antenatal and Post Natal care whilst completing his Residency years at Mater Hospital Brisbane.
Dr Lawson is interested in all areas of General Practice with a particular interest in Neonatal and Paediatric medicine as well as mental health care.
Dr Lawson will bulk bill all ATSI and mental health consultations: all other appointments will be privately billed at Dr Lawson’s discretion.
